Mission Statement - The Carrigtwohill Family Resource Centre aims to be a Centre through which people can fell a pride in and a belonging to this community by engaging with others in the activities on offer. Individuals can access Educational, Life Skills and Leisure Courses.
The Family Resource Centre is a voluntary group whose aim is to build friendship with those experiencing social, personal and family needs through a variety of activities. The Centre is run by The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The services and the facilities at the centre are open to all, including members of the new communities living in Carrigtwohill. Guided by the Vincentian Spirit of Empowering people, our mission is to allow people take control of their lives.

After School Scheme - The After School Club is open to Primary School children and meets 5 days per week, Monday to Friday from 13.30 to 18.00 at the Resource Centre. The Club provides lunch, homework support, art activities, sporting activities, computer access (for children) and music. This Club is currently full, however, names will be accepted for a waiting list. All enquiries to Ms. Liz O’Mahony, Club Leader at 086-3605217.
Youth Cafe -The Youth Café is open on a Friday evening running from September to May in the Community Centre from 7 to 10pm and is available to young people aged between 13 and 19. First years from 7pm til 8.30pm and 2nd & 3rd years from 8.30pm til 10pm. Activities include Indoor Soccer, Pool, Fuzz Ball, Music and Conversation. Indoor Soccer - Oct 2010 - Running from September to May. Teams are grouped by school class and meet at the Community Centre at the following times: 3rd Class @ Thurs 4–5pm, 4th Class @ Fri 3 – 4pm, 5th/6th Class @ Fri 4 – 5pm. Those interested should register with Ms. Denise Cahalane, Youth Officer at 086-9677538.
Shared Reading - Running from September to May, this group will meet on Friday evenings from 18.30 to 19.30 at the Resource Centre. This service is for Primary School children and assists them in improving their English language skills. Activities undertaken include reading, conversation and board games.
